Andy Rubin has announced on his Twitter account that the 500 000 mark Android enabled devices each day has been exceeded. Nothing seems to stop the progression of Android. On December 9, Andy Rubin proudly announced that 300,000 phones were activated each day. At the Google I/O , we learned that there were over 100 million activations since the launch of the platform and the trend was 400,000 daily.
Today, on his Twitter account, Andy Rubin announced that 500 000 devices are enabled every day. You will notice that it is no longer talking about phones but including smartphones, tablet, Google TV… as in December. This reflects the vision of Google as only what the shelves in Honeycomb deserve the name.
It says that one week to another, the figure increases by 4.4%. This trend is largely helped by the boom in smartphones and tablets. Although growth is strong, Google has to constantly evolve its platform without which enthusiasm might soon drop out. Ice Cream Sandwich should make a new life especially for smartphones.
