A few days ago, I have reported an iPhone 4S caught on fire in Brazil and now seem like Android phone is also in similar situation. It is Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. However this case is quite rare that the phone is not in use or under any hard condition but it just on fire while in pocket.
A guy on XDA forum has reported this issues claimed that it was his friend’s phone. His friend was very scared to see smoked coming out of his pocket and his phone as well. However there is no injury reported in this event.
Learning from the burning part, we can assume that it is the problem of battery that it might be overheat and it is a very rare case. I also has a friend with Galaxy S II Skyrocket and he uses his phone very often for email, game and web browsing without any problem.
This case is quite different from the one with iPhone 4S on Fire in Brazil that the phone was charging for hours or another iPhone 4S on airplane in Australia.
