All New Macs Get the Free Upgrade to Leo Today

Following the presentation of Mac OS X Lion by Steve Jobs on June 6, information was passed unnoticed in the press release. The update to the new Apple operating system is offered to all buyers of Mac since the last June 6. New Mac owners have 30 days from the launch date to request their coupon allowing them to download Mac OS X Lion on the Mac App Store.

Apple has also opened a page dedicated to the free upgrade. It is currently empty and users affected by the update will return to the release of Mac OS X Lion.

All Apple computers are affected by this program update, whether purchased from an authorized dealer, in a supermarket or an Apple Store. Even the machines sold at a knockdown price on the refurb store enjoy the free upgrade to Leo.

Recall that the release of Mac OS X Leo is scheduled for next July. The Apple operating system will be sold only 24.90 euros via a Mac App Store.
