Apple has been trying to purchase Nortel, Novell patents and now the Antitrust Authority approved the request which will allow the transfer of intellectual property to the Cupertino.
The approval made yesterday. With the new acquisition, Apple has more potential to compete with Google (Google also has purchased Motorola Mobility). The deal with Nortel’s intellectual property is quite important since there are over 6000 patents to be offered to Apple.
