As expected, Apple unveiled the new version of its professional editing software: Final Cut Pro X.The application has been reviewed thoroughly and she now shares an interface similar to that iMovie iPad. Apple wanted to refocus the software on the main interested is to say the person responsible for assembly. Final Cut Pro X is also compatible with 64-bit to carry more than 4 GB of RAM and takes advantage of technology Grand Central Dispatch, a new Snow Leopard, which can make the most of the multiplication of hearts.
The most powerful machines should be capable of rendering real-time 4K (high-definition) through the processor power, but also the graphics card. Apple says that it is possible to use different sources SD, HD and 4K on the same timeline, so it is now possible to begin the assembly during the movie import.
When importing, the clip will also automatically analyzed applying effects such as stabilization or even the automatic detection of the type of plane (wide-angle, close-up, etc..) which will create Smart Collection of different sequences imported. It is also possible to tag sequences with key words to find them more easily.
At the assembly itself, Apple introduced a timeline magnetic easy handling of videos and soundtracks with lots of options to simplify the task of the editor: Coumpound Clips with Auto Collapse merging several media into a single file to handle, Precision Inline Editor which allows fine-tune the transitions between clicks, and functions to synchronize the audio between two clips. Finally, Apple has also integrated tools to facilitate the versions to full management of an alternative version of a project.
The software Final Cut Pro X has not yet been officially released by Apple. It will be available in June only on the Mac App Store for only $ 299. During the presentation, Apple did not say whether the other software suite were also affected by an update (Motion, Sountrack Pro, Color, and Compressor). It is likely that all these items will be sold separately in the Mac App Store

4k is basically 2x High Definition. HD is 1920×1080, so roughly 2k.
Actually Doug, High Definition refers to anything greater than standard definition. If it is 720p or greater, it’s HD, so 4k is still HD, it’s just higher HD.
