The sale of iPhone 4S is not strong. Actually this sale decrease is not strange for Apple since there are two main reasons behind this falls but before jumping to the reasons we should know about the exact features of the fall. The sale of iPhone drops by 10%-15% from Q4 of 2011. To respond to this fall, Apple has clearly indicated its suppliers to retain a portion of production for the first quarter of 2012.
There are reasons behind this fall which are strong competitors and lower interest products.
On the main trend, strong competitors do hurt the business. Most part of the mobile phone are shared between a few giant companies including HTC, Samsung, RIM, Nokia, Motorola and a few more. Samsung is so famous with its Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch which is currently spread around Europe and Asia. HTC smartphone is also enjoyable around U.S.
As the business is going into wild, those giant companies start to go to legal war by suing each other about patents violation as the result is very serious that the court will band specific products in specific countries. Apple also suffers from the same problem.
Another reason is lower interest product. iPhone 4S has exactly the same iPhone 4 design but different inside. Remember that some iPhone users are to play around with the model and of course design plays important role in attracting customer.
However Apple decided to keep the design the same but you can feel something big inside which is Siri. Siri is not the talk of the town and its rivals do worry about this features to attract more people so the best way to keep new iPhone 4S users is to keep Siri exclusively on iPhone 4S for awhile.
