In parallel with the updating of the internal MacBook Pro software of 2011 that improves stability and performance of the interface Thunderbolt, Apple launched the first cable Thunderbolt. Apacer has just released a new DDR3 kit in its range special overclocking. Sapphire has launched two motherboards designed around an Intel chipset. The new solutions are Hong Kong manufacturer of Mini-ITX. The H61 and H67 Pure Platinum is designed around a socket LGA-1155. They feature a 3-phase power, and are equipped with two slots supporting up to 8 GB of DDR3.
During Computex, Powercolor showed a unique bi-GPU card, the Radeon HD 6870X2. The brand comes from the official as well as Club 3D. These cards combine two Barts XT GPU with each gigabyte of memory on their 256-bit bus. In terms of frequency, the two GPUs are clocked at 900 MHz while the 2×1 GB of memory running at 1050 MHz.
The new Mac Pro with Intel Sandy Bridge and Thunderbolt are expected later this summer. More than just upgrade the Mac Pro could inherit a new chassis compatible with rack servers and an Intel is also part of this. No information was available on this processor, but Apple could ask Intel processors smaller, while keeping the same power to minimize the footprint of the Mac Pro.
Apple has renewed its AirPort Extreme together with the introduction of new Time Capsule 2TB and 3TB; AirPort Extreme is now the reference MD031AM/A while the old model was sold under the code MC340AM/A. The internal hardware was changed, presumably to improve performance.
Apple has updated its website with the new version of the Time Capsule . The network hard drive from Apple, which also serves as Wi-Fi router and wired, is now available in 1TB, 2TB and 3 TB model. At first, Apple did not include new features, unless they are subsequently integrated via a software update.
AMD has released its official Catalyst drivers 11.6. This new edition comes a little over a month after the previous one. It supports graphics cards Radeon HD 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 and FireStream 9000 and the ATI Radeon 3000 and 4000, and their mobile versions.
ThinkGeek has unveiled the joystick-It for iPhone and iPad, and more generally with all devices with a touch capacitive screen. It works with all games using a virtual joystick on the screen. It replaces the latter by providing a physical return.
Antec has just unearthed its range of green power. The EA-750 offers a Green Power 750 watts with an 80 Plus Bronze certification. This new EarthWatts is also certified SLI and CrossFireX. It is spotted four 12 volt rails of 40 amps. It meets the standards ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.91 and includes many safety systems.
