ASUS has promised to bring the unlocking the bootloader tool in early 2012 and now we are in February and the company has kept the promise by bringing this official bootloader for their fans. You can download this tool directly from official website of ASUS under tech support section.
This bootloader can be used with Prime with Android 4.0 installed and it will void the warranty as you use this tool.
If you think it is too long to wait for official Android 4.0 update for your tablet, then you can use this tool for further development after installing Android 4.0.
Note: Don’t forget to check your device compatibility before using this tool since it is now only for TF201.

The long-awaited update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ‘s Acer Iconia TAB A500 could be released during the month of April.
Recall that the update, originally scheduled for January, was postponed until a later date. According to the Facebook page of Acer Australia and New Zealand, the release date of Android 4.0 for Iconia Tab A500 should be in April but fail to specific the exact release date.

It seems that Samsung will continue to sell their Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab 10.1N in Germany without any restrictions, contrary to what is required by Apple in the ongoing process between the two companies in Germany.
The decision was taken by the regional court of Monaco, Germany, the judge rejected the request received from Apple to block the sale of the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Tab 10.1N within Germany, forcing it to block local dealers.
In the past months Apple has sought and obtained the block sale of Galaxy Tab 10.1 as found to violate its patents, and in reply Samsung has released an updated and modified from the said tablet with the name of Galaxy Tab 10.1N. The California-based company, despite the modified version, considered permissible to ask for the lock again, although on this occasion, however, the court has decided to speak in favor of Samsung, allowing the marketing of its product in Germany.

Archos is going hotter on its tablets especially the newly release G9 tablet. Among other manufacture, Archos has managed to release news related to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for G9 which will be available by the first week of February.
Before recalling the specification, I want to get the best part of Archos tablet which are not just about software and hardware but also good price too. This G9 tablet can be as cheap as $299.

At CES 2012, even we can see the real product of PadFone from ASUS but at least the prototype version was shown. We can expect more at MWC 2012. If you don’t know about this ASUS PadFone, I can tell you that it is the combination of smartphone and tablet in which there is a dock in tablet that you always can insert the smartphone for some reasons such as memory, battery and more.

Learning from previous rumors, we can assume that ASUS was trying to bring Android 4.0 to the tablet which was the main reason for the delay but seem like we can expect this product to come to the market faster since bringing Android to tablet is not too hard as Motorola has managed to officially release Android 4.0 update for the Xoom already.

Great job! Now Motorola Xoom can officially update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This update is only available for U.S. version only. You should have received a notification which will be able to upgrade directly from your device. If you didn’t get it you might check its availability on setting. If you still can’t find the update in setting, you better wait for a few more days for this update widely spread.
This is absolutely the great work by Motorola to bring this ICS update to Xoom making it to be the first tablet with ICS. For Xoom users in other countries, this update should be able to come soon.

At CES 2012, ZTE has unveiled a new Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet, the T98. This tablet has a 7-inch display with resolution of 1280 × 800 pixel. It is powered by Tegra 3 Chipset which you will find it useful for some high requirement applications and games.
Other interesting features include a 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia, 1 GB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera for video recording at 1080p, a 1.3 megapixel front camera for video call and 4000 mAh battery.
However there is no words on pricing or availability but it should be available before Q2 of 2012.
