ASUS has promised to bring the unlocking the bootloader tool in early 2012 and now we are in February and the company has kept the promise by bringing this official bootloader for their fans. You can download this tool directly from official website of ASUS under tech support section.
This bootloader can be used with Prime with Android 4.0 installed and it will void the warranty as you use this tool.
If you think it is too long to wait for official Android 4.0 update for your tablet, then you can use this tool for further development after installing Android 4.0.

The long-awaited update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ‘s Acer Iconia TAB A500 could be released during the month of April.
