Huawei Is Ready to Release Windows Phone and Android Smartphone By Early 2013

Huawei is one of the most famous mobile manufactures in China and now it is ready to go further with the release of Windows Phone and Android. Even with no official confirmation, information leaked suggested that there will be two Windows Phone 8 and 4 Android smartphones.

For Windows Phone 8, there will be Ascend W1 and Ascend W2. If it is true, these will be the first Windows Phone of the company to invade the territory of Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X. The two phone should cover both high-end and mid-range class to make sure that it can cover all market share.

For Android, there will be Ascend D2, Ascend P2 and the Ascend Mate. First the most interesting and the most talked is Ascent Mate. Learning to previous rumor, this device is believed to carry the largest display of 6.1-inch which is 1-inch larger than Samsung Galaxy Note 2. However other source seems to suggest a smaller screen on 4.5-inch but there is no clear evident to support. For Ascend P2 should be the killer with high-end specs. It is expected to be powered by a quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The display should be smaller than 5-inch.

What Are the Targeted Market of Huawei?
United States should not be the most concern but Asian and European should be main market.

Official Price of Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X on Best Buy

Recently Best Buy allows pre-order for Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X for $149.99 and $99.99 respectively. Both come with two-year contract with free shipping offer and AT&T will be the carrier. Basically for Lumia 920, you can choose different colors of red, blue, yellow, black and white.

These two are the first Windows Phone 8 to hit the market before the end of 2012 but Best Buy didn’t state the exact shipping date. Hopefully it doesn’t be too long to wait.

Official: Microsoft to Release Official Specs of Windows 8 on October 29

More inspiring is about to come. Recently Microsoft has sent official invitation for press media to participate in its Windows 8 event on October 29. If you are so eager to know how the Windows 8 metro looks like, the event should be the most important day to go.

It will wipe away the questions and rumors. Of course the new OS should be unique. Rewind that Microsoft and Apple has come up with some kind of agreement that the company won’t violate each other patents so Microsoft will stick with its full large icons. Windows 7 received various update since the first release but still can’t attract the attention of user away from iOS and Android so we do expect more from Windows 8 to compete with the two leading OS.

It will tell us how the upcoming Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X will look like. Hope that Microsoft will fire up the Windows Phone screen with Windows 8.

Nokia Q3 Report: 2.9 Million Lumia Sales and 3.4 Million Symbian Sales

Recently Nokia has released official Q3 of 2012 report with quite disappointment. The company sold around 2.9 million Lumia smartphone meanwhile 3.4 million Symbian worldwide. Compared to Q2, Nokia sold 4 million Lumias and 6.2 million Symbians.

It is another significant drop from quarter to quarter. However the number of Lumia is expected to growth thank to the release of key smartphone the Lumia 920 and 820 in Q4 of 2012.

Learning from the report Nokia lost around $754 million marking the sale drop of 63% each year or 38% per quarter.

It should be the most difficult time for Nokia since the company doesn’t use Android and even implementing the Windows Phone, Nokia still can’t gain back its market share lost to Apple and Samsung. Of course new strategies must be considered and bring it to the round table to encounter this difficulty period.

The partnership between Nokia and Microsoft seems to recover only minor market. We do expect many Windows Phone 8 from Nokia and now according to WMPoweruser, we have leaked information of Nokia Lumia 822.

Nothing much leaked but Lumia 822 will run on Windows Phone 8 of course with WVGA display and an 8 megapixel camera. Currently there is no information about the availability or price tag. No official announcement from Nokia nor Verizon at the moment.

Reuters: Facebook’s head of communications to leave company

Joe Lockhart, Facebook Inc’s head of global communications and a former press secretary for President Bill Clinton, is leaving the social networking company, Facebooksaid.

Lockhart, who is the latest high-profile executive to departFacebook following its disappointing initial public offering in May, is leaving 15 months after joining the world’s No.1 social network.

A Facebook spokeswoman said that Lockhart is leaving because he decided he wanted to remain on the East Coast, and did not want to move to California, where Facebook is headquartered.
