A few weeks before the release of its new operating system Mac OS X Leo, Apple refines the latest update of Mac OS X 10.6.8 with a second beta version distributed to developers. This version poses no problem in principle and Apple always asks developers to test the compatibility of their applications with AirPort drivers of the graphics card, the Mac App Store, VPN and QuickTime. This update weighs about 1 GB.
It will probably be the last update of Mac OS X Snow Leopard pre-release of Mac OS X Lion planned for this summer. Of course Mac OS X 10.6 would not be abandoned after the release of Leo, but updates will be rarer and, eventually, they will cover more than security.
