EBay company compiled the sales data iPad 2 to know which countries the tablets were sent during the first two weeks of marketing. To recap, the iPad 2 was sold March 11, 2011 in the United States and only two weeks in 25 other countries are more eager to go through eBay to recover the precious iPad 2 before everybody.

From these figures, 65% sold via eBay iPad 2 remained in the United States while only 35% of first generation iPad sales remained in the country of origin. The biggest buyers of iPad two auctions are the United States and Canada with approximately 500 copies per country, followed by Hong Kong, Japan and Great Britain with 350 iPad 2 each and then France and Poland with 200 copies of the second generation of Apple tablet ordered on eBay.
iPad 2 model is the most popular entry-level, 16 GB Wi-Fi, with 30% of sales followed by the oddly high-end model, the 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G, representing 23 % of sales.
CNET also shared that the average price of an iPad 16 GB Wi-Fi sold in February on eBay is 697 dollars or 198 dollars more than the retail price. Vendors realize a capital gain of about $ 264 on the 64GB model wireless sold an average of $ 963 against $ 699 at the Apple Store.

It is not surprising at all to see iPad 2’s demand go very high. With the success of the original iPad, it is expected that the second generation will be more accepted by consumers. And with the not so successful sales of Motorola Xoom, the only serious competitor of iPad 2 will be the Samsung Galaxy that will be released in June.
