The famous software Growl notifications will soon be distributed via the Mac App Store. So ended the panel in system preferences, the software will be presented as an application in the dedicated folder and updates will be via the Mac App Store. Unfortunately, some features are not compatible with the conditions of use of the Apple, GrowlMail and GrowlSafari disappear. However, GrowliTunes and HardwareGrowler remain part of the utility.
Growl Version 1.3 will be only compatible with Mac OS X Lion, Snow Leopard users should use the earlier versions of the utility. If some users are likely to be disappointed by these changes , the new management will greatly simplify the work of developers.
