Many iPhone 4 owners complain about problems using the Home button. Sometimes it’s a hardware problem and the only solution is to send the device in for service. You have the home button unresponsive problem? You can no longer perform a double click or you have to press several times to operate it? Probably just a software problem, solved with a re-calibration. It seems in fact that iOS is suffering from some sort of bug, which, in many cases, it really makes it difficult to use the Home button.
To re-calibration, follow these steps:
- Open any application installed on your iPhone
- Press the Power button for several seconds until the display shows the slide to turn off the device
- Release the power button do not slide off
- Now hold down the Home button will not change until the faulty screen and return to the Springboard
- Now your Home Button is recalibrated and ready for use
After this procedure, if the Home button still does not work well, then it’s a hardware problem.
