iOS 5 iPad: Configure a Wireless Network Using AirPort Base Station and Time Capsule

Another new feature of iOS 5, iPad allows users to configure a wireless network using AirPort Base Station and Time Capsule. With iOS 5, in fact, the iPad will automatically recognize the hardware base station that must be set and the user can manage everything from the WiFi card in the device settings.

In this tab, in fact, with iOS 5 appears the new option “Set up an AirPort Base Station” with the possibility to create a WiFi network, enter a password or use other functions such as joining an existing network or replace an AirPort base station earlier.

The ability to import your Time Capsule and AirPort with i5OS is part of the functions that Apple has summarized with the term “Free PC” to symbolize the fact that with this new operating system, the iPad will be increasingly independent of the Mac and PC.
