Excellent results from Apple that, in the last quarter of 2011, has sold something like 37 million smartphones in which most of them are the latest iPhone, iPhone 4S.
Although this finding has not been issued directly by the company, it is easy to be convinced by analyzing data. As reported by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), a company specializing in the analysis of turnover, sales of the iPhone 4S in the United States amount to about 89% of units sold.
7% and 4% were the sales of the iPhone 3G and 4 which are so far behind the 4S.
Among the 89% of iPhone 4S buyers chose, 45% prefers the 16GB model, 34% go for the 32GB model and 21% for the 64GB model. Other details emerged from the analysis of turnover is that 19% of iPhone 4s users derived from the previous model which came on the market just over a year earlier. In addition, 42% of the buyers decided to terminate the contract in advance with the current provider while switching to the new iPhone 4S.
