At the opening conference of the WWDC, Apple has highlighted the functionality of icloud Photo Stream. If this service will only be available next fall with the official release icloud and IOS 5.0, developers can test this by downloading the new beta version of iPhoto 9.2 on the Apple site over the IOS Beta 5.0.
This beta version of iPhoto is very limited since it is not compatible with existing libraries and the library created will not be compatible with consumer versions of iPhoto.
Photo Stream iPhoto will retrieve all the pictures taken by devices iOS through the air including 3G cellular network or Wi-Fi and save them permanently. In parallel, the Apple servers keep a copy of the 1000 photos over the past 30 days. These photos are available on all devices connected to the same account iOS icloud.
