The developers, who are the only ones able to enjoy iOS 5.0 for now, will be pleased to learn that the latest version of the tool unclamping redsn0w now supports the first beta version of IOS 5.0. Redsn0w 0.9.8b1 therefore allows the operator unlock the device IOS version 5.0 of the mobile operating system from Apple, with the exception of the iPad 2 which remains inviolate.

Apple has not implemented new safety measures, but blocked the loophole for the unlock permanent. To restart, it will be necessary to connect the device to a computer and iOS redsn0w start to force the boot sequence.
Of course, nothing says that Apple will not integrate new protections for the release of the final version, but this seems unlikely. Apple will only probably to shield its new iPhone as it did with the iPad 2.
