Yesterday, Matrox has unveiled its new docking station DS1 Thunderbolt, which allows users to add multiple devices to your system (either a Mac or PC), for example, an HDMI display, a full-size keyboard and a mouse directly connecting the station to the Thunderbolt port.
The docking station DS1 also includes a Gigabit Ethernet port that provides connectivity with wired data transfer rates 18 times greater than standard Wi-Fi.
In addition, the DS1 is supplied with a USB 3.0 high-speed, two USB 2.0 ports, a microphone input and speaker output / headphones. All this can be connected to a MacBook via a single Thunderbolt cable. The docking station Matrox DS1 has a solid aluminum case and, according to the company, may be ideal for use in the office and at home, thanks to its compactness, its robustness and its ease of use.
The product will be available at authorized dealers starting next September, for a suggested retail price was 249 dollars.
