For many users who use the PC, chkdsk is synonymous with the term (at least in most parts of the cases) of trouble with the hard disk. In past versions of Windows this procedure, verify that hard disk, descriptors, files, etc., has always created a certain discomfort in addition to fear for the outcome of the transaction.
But it seems that Microsoft wanted to improve this procedure in the new operating system Windows 8. It appears that the company has optimized the NTFS file system, making the feature less invasive and faster.
As many readers will recall, previously analyzed the Chkdsk hard disk drives as a single user precluding the use of the machine in Windows 8 instead of the process can be done in the background, especially in real-time with a gain of time not indifferent. This does not mean that the procedure will be affected by more or less serious problems facing the optical drive.
