Thanks to guy at Nikonrumors, we can manage to get some detail of Nikon D4 specificatins. These specifications was collected from various websites especially from other languages beside English.However we can still get these detail with is quite clear that the camera is another great one besides the Nikon D800. Within this post, you will be able to see the specifications of Nikon D4, release date and a few words about D4 vs D800.
Nikon didn’t release any official announcement over release date of D4 but we can expect this flavor to be on the stage at PMA show on January 10-13, 2012 in Las Vegas. We hope to be part of the event too.
In comparison between Nikon D4 and D800, D4 has lower MP but higher fps and higer ISO than D800. However the two is expected to hit the market in the same time. So it is chance for you to go for your favorite.

- Face detection/recognition function that will be working in the viewfinder (maybe some type of a hybrid viewfinder? Nikon had several related patents)
- Improved video, I have no other details on that but my guess is 1080p/30/25/24 and 720p/60/30/25/24 similar to the Nikon D800
- Uncompressed video out through the HDMI port
- Ability to assign the two buttons on the front of the camera to smooth aperture control during video recording
- Improved 51 AF points
- AF detection range will go down to EV-2.0 (the D3s went to EV -1)
- Autofocus system: 9 cross-type sensors that are operational up to f/8
