Recently Nokia has released official Q3 of 2012 report with quite disappointment. The company sold around 2.9 million Lumia smartphone meanwhile 3.4 million Symbian worldwide. Compared to Q2, Nokia sold 4 million Lumias and 6.2 million Symbians.
It is another significant drop from quarter to quarter. However the number of Lumia is expected to growth thank to the release of key smartphone the Lumia 920 and 820 in Q4 of 2012.
Learning from the report Nokia lost around $754 million marking the sale drop of 63% each year or 38% per quarter.
It should be the most difficult time for Nokia since the company doesn’t use Android and even implementing the Windows Phone, Nokia still can’t gain back its market share lost to Apple and Samsung. Of course new strategies must be considered and bring it to the round table to encounter this difficulty period.
