After the release of OS X Mountain LionPreview 4 for Developer yesterday and the first beta of the new minor release of OS X Lion 10.7.5, here is starting to emerge the first details on the date of its officially released the new mountain lion in the Mac App Store.
As it was clearly stated by Tim Cook on stage at the Moscone Center in San Francisco about 10 days ago, OS X 10.8 will make its appearance on our Macs starting next July, but no exact date. This information is still top secret and it seems that Apple wants to keep it because they probably want to reserve the right to postpone or anticipate that depending on feedback from developers who are currently trying version DP4.
T-GAAP is the first site to hazard a precise date: July 19, to 364 days after the release of the OS X Lion 10.7. Information, they said, went from an anonymous source. We do not know if this is just the beginning of speculation but as was mentioned by MacWorld we also decided to spread it to our readers who suggest, however, to consider it a mere rumor.
In any case, what is almost certain is that the major desktop operating system release will be issued only for Mac OS X 10.7.5 after they have seen the light. For now it is the first beta.
