Apple has released iPhone 5 and iOS 6 together. Of course most developers are working on jailbreaking the iOS 6 as well as tweaks. It should take more time to complete the untethered jailbreak since now we only have tethered jailbreak.
One of our famous developers, pod2g has confirmed that he is not working on jailbreaking iOS 6 since he is focusing on his work but he might do in in the future. Without his anticipation, it would be problem for the update of Absinthe. This tool has been used to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1.
