Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 is now available for tethered jailbreak iOS 5.0.1

The DevTeam has just updated to Redsn0w version 0.9.9b8 to tethered  jailbreak iOS 5.0.1. A while ago we had you served the previous version but selecting the firmware 5.0, you now must select the 5.0.1 directly.Preserves the baseband creating a custom firmware (only from Mac for now) but Ultrasn0w EYE is not yet compatible with iOS 5.0.1, however Gevey if it will work (if your baseband is released).

Remember that it is a tethered jailbreak and need to restart Redsnow increasingly using the “just boot tethered right now” (including the first time or you do not run Cydia or Safari).

Supported devices:

• iPhone 4
• iPhone 3G
• iPod Touch 3G
• iPod Touch 4G
• iPad 1

It NOT work with iPhone or iPad 2.
