Learning from the rumor, we have heard that RIM might want to release BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS. In short this is it. However there is no official announcement from the company. It is acceptable to say that after the release of iOS and Android, BlackBerry declined rapidly.
It
hurts the overall performance of the company but pushing this BBM to other platform might not good for the company. Originally on iPhone, we have iMessage, Chat ON for Samsung so RIM’s BlackBerry Messenger should be only on BlackBerry.
We are waiting for further development of this matter.

It’s about time. While the blackberry has a far superior keyboard, it just doesnt have the functionality of an android or iphone. This move will help keep the blackberry name alive.
