In the wake of IOS 4.3, Apple has released a new version of its browser: Safari 5.0.4. This version improves the stability of the browser with a better management of the pages containing multiple instances of the same module and also compatibility with the reflections and image transition effects on the web. Safari 5.0.4 also corrects problems with layout during printing, worries display pages that use plug-ins or even the standby when watching videos on Safari.

Just before updating Safari, Apple has released update Java 4 for Mac OS X Snow Leopard and the update for Leopard 9. This update improves the compatibility, security and reliability of the Java module.
The date chosen by Apple for these updates is not trivial as this week unfolds the CanSecWest conference that brings together the cream of hackers and security researchers who tent to take control of machines running Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. To do this, they often use loopholes in Internet browsers and associated modules, an attack on an operating system has become much more complicated. Unfortunately, Safari does not last long in this competition.
The updates are available via Apple’s software update available from the Apple menu or directly from the Apple site.
