Yahoo is one step to offer free text message to individual or even in group with their recent application for Android, the Hub. This application is still in beta version but the user interface and operation performances are good. Sending text message with Yahoo’s Hub is free.
Sony Ericsson has released over the past few hours, a new application for Xperia X10. Panorama is available in market for free download. Panorama allows the camera to capture through the 8-megapixel sensor of the former top range Sony Ericsson.
Here is a newest application for Android device, “the Unlock With WiFi.” With Unlock With WiFi app, your phone will be able to lock and unlock automatically depending on where and when you’re connected to WiFi network. It means that your phone only locks and unlocks automatically if you set it to specific wireless networks as a type of safe zone where the Unlock With WiFi application removes the pass code, pin, or pattern lock when you are connected. For example, I don’t worry about losing mu phone when I am at home. So I don’t want to enter pass code, pin, or pattern lock for security reasons. When I am connected to my home WiFi network, my device will automatically unlock. Then when I leave, and the WiFi disconnects, the device will also automatically lock again.
Android is one of the top two dominant mobile phone operation system now in competing with the Apple iOS. Of course many new HTC phones are running on Android OS and seem like the famous HTC HD2 also want to be part of the event too. Everyone is waiting for Android 2.2 update for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 but now the result is the 2.1. We can admit that it is hard for every company to update its hardware to work for the new update OS but it is a must in this fast technology changing business. However sometime next month, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be able to find Android 2.1 update.

If you haven’t have your Dell Streak updated to Android 2.1 (known as Eclair), then you will be able to find the way to update it within this post. It is very sad to see Dell shipped its Android phone on Android 1.6. However a guy in UK has managed to bring the latest version for your phone.
How to update
First you have to download Android 2.1 .pkg file and copy it to you SD card. Note that you have to rename the file to ‘Update.pkg’. You can find the download link here. When downloading, copying and renaming are done, you have to boot the Dell Streak into recovery mode and choose to recover from the Update.pkg file.
