The combat of mobile platform is very high and now the young app store of the Verizon Wireless, a mobile phone carrier in U.S., will shut down due to some critical issues. First this app store is called Vcast Apps which has varieties of Android and BlackBerry apps. The subscribers of Verizon network can access to these apps in addition to what it has on its OS store. This Vcast Apps will by totally shut down on March 27 of 2013.
One of the main reasons is that Apple has bought Chomp which is the main partner of Verizon to build this store and of course the fast growing Google Play won’t allow Verizon to survive easily.

Let’s forget about Android or iOS for awhile and focus on BlackBerry OS. RIM has announced that developers can start submitting their application early 2013 but now seems like thing is going on smoothly and it starts accepting BlackBerry 10 app now.
So for developers who have done their jobs with their app, they can start the submission today. Of course it will be busy day now. First come first served. However it is quite clear that RIM will make some change with its device to full touchscreen leaving the tradition QWERTY space.
However with current competition period with Android and iOS, RIM do not expect huge submission. Talking a bit about Android, Google also has wowed developers to focus on compatibility of each app on tablet since it usually won’t work well on tablet as it is on smartphone due to bigger screen and features. Google has launched Tablet App Quality Checklist.
We are waiting to see further strategies from RIM to compete with Android and iOS.
