Seem like the bad time of Zynga doesn’t stop easily. Today the company has laid off 100 employees shutting down office in Boston. It is 2/3 of the total employees who are working on The Ville game.
This strategy is to deal with future business base on significant drop of the active user of The Ville. Zynga CEO Mark Pincus first tries to cut cost to maintain overall process. Learning from previous report, The Ville has around 26.2 million active users but now it drops to 17.5 million during the last 30 days.

Recently Facebook has celebrated its success in Q3 2012 revenue with the release of financial report showing the $1.26 billion jumping from $1.18 billion Q2 2012. Less than one hour after this announcement, Facebook stock increases by 2.5%.
This is the result of participation of the 1 billion users with over 600 million accessed Facebook via mobile phone. With this number Facebook can increase more revenue for the next quarter.

After the auditing by Data Protection Commission in Ireland, Facebook has decided to totally turn of facial recognition system for European Union. Now the service is no longer and blocked. If you preferred to upload your pictures on Facebook and received auto tagging on any photo with this service, now it won’t happen again and Facebook also clears the previous photo tagging for existing users starting from October 15th.
Now Facebook is working with DPC to relaunching similar service in the future but with better control. Facebok still has many more service to be reviewed by the commission before releasing the final report and now both are working together in a very satisfactory way.

According to Google+ product boss Vic Gundotra, it has around 400 million people with around 100 million active users. Those 100 active users use Google+ via PC or mobile platform. This is a big success with this pace. It has lesser users comparing to the 900 million active users of Facebook and 526 million daily active users. The Facebook app for iOS has basically designed on HTML5 making the app performed badly. Of course it did hurt the overall performance. Now the application received an update with native code based for iOS. The update enhances over performance faster and better.
Just within the last 3 weeks, Facebook app received 4 starts mark jumping from 1.5 stars. Half of the users update to this version in the last 4 days.
