Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab II were on a Korean site, Paran, already leaving us some reliable specs but now seem like we can get more and more information relating to these two devices.
The Galaxy S II will be out with a 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 Super AMOLED Plus display. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Orion / Exynos processor and other features include NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, and 24Mbps HSPA+ connectivity. Another interesting thing is its appearance which is expected to be 9.9mm, quite fatter.
Next is the Galaxy Tab II. Just as what we expected, the Tab II is coming with Honeycomb OS, a 10.1-inch touch screen. A selection of 16GB / 32GB / 64GB storage are also available for choices. The most interesting things is the Android 3.0 UI which can’t be found on before.
Last but not least is that Samsung is trying to bring a 4-inch WVGA display with 3D capabilities to its devices which can the spot on these. We have seen the 3D display on LG Optimus 3D already.
Samsung should be in hasty now since Apple iPad 2 is already around the corner. However Samsung also managed to bring its next Galaxy Tab or Galaxy Tab 2 to the table. The Android 2.2 Galaxy Tab was quite successful and now it should be time to jump to the latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb for tablet.
With the new OS Honeycomb, Galaxy Tab 2 will be able to enjoy the mutitasking function as you can’t find on its previous Android 2.2.
According to our source, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 features a 10.1-inch display, thinner and lighter. You should be able to see Tab 2 on Sunday, just a day before Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
If you heard that the Viewsonic ViewPad 4 will come with Android 2.3 then that is not the right thing. Thank to Pocket-link, we can confirm that the Viewsonic ViewPad 4 spots Android 2.4 which is capable of using application using on Android 3.0 or Honeycomb.
The release date of Viewsonic ViewPad 4 is on April and if it is on Android 2.4, the Android 2.4 is coming quite earlier than expected.
I have posted something about the release date of Motorola Xoom at BestBuy already but now seem like more news leak today. According to DigiTimes, the Motorola Xoom will be available in March which is quite far away from 17th of February. I guess many people are waiting to get this Android 3.0 powered tablet and Motorola will change tablet market with this device.
2011 will be tablet war and we can wait to see which one is the best.
It can be counted now! According to mail in Engadget, Motorola Xoom will be officially available at BestBuy on February 17th with price tag of $699.99. With this price, you will be able to get the Xoom with 32GB of internal storage.
Remember what Motorola has done in the past? If you forget then I can tell you that its great RAZR flip phone was marked as the best of all time and even the new release of its Android smartphones, Droid X and Droid 2 also has been among the most remarkable smartphones.
At CES 2011, Motorola has brought its new Android tablet-the XOOM-to the show which attracts the majority attention. In Q1 2011 alone, Motorola plans to sell up to 800,000 XOOM tablets. Let’s wait to see what will Motorola do to reach this milestone while there are many other tablet running on the same Android.
We have seen many powerful tablet running on Android 3.0 since the beginning of CES in Las Vegas and now seem like Motorola is also in the same spot. Motorola Xoom is another Android 3.0 Honeycomb powered tablet with dual-core processors. This 10.1 inch HD display tablet also features rear-facing ad front camera. 10 hour battery battery life is not a bad deal.
