The tool to untethered jailbreak A5 devices has already been released a few days. Seem like the popularity of jailbreaking is very high that during the last few days, there are over 950,000 iOS devices has installed Cydia.
Among those 950,000 there are 491,325 iPhone 4S and 308,967 iPad 2. 152,940 are iPad 2 with previous iOS 4.
“Here’s a quick breakdown of how many A5 owners have jailbroken their devices since Friday morning. The numbers as of Monday afternoon are:
- 491,325 new iPhone 4S devices
- 308,967 new iPad 2 devices
- 152,940 previously jailbroken (at 4.x) iPad 2 devices
Total: 953,232 new A5 jailbreaks in a little over 3 days.
The reason these numbers can be so precise is that one of the housekeeping activities that happens when you launch Cydia is a query to @saurik’s server for the list of available SHSH blobs. (Even if you have none on file, the query is still made).”

Remember that every time that Apple introduces new product especially the iPhone and iPad, it attracts the majority of users around the world. With no exceptional case, with the launch of iPad 3, Apple will be able to sell as many as 50 million units in 2012.
This 50 million units will cover all models not just the iPad 3. However seems like Android should not be the main rival in tablet market for Apple but the Amazon Kindle Fire thank to the budget price and compact size.
However we are still waiting to see how Apple designs this new iPad but it is expected to come with new hardware to boost performance. In addition we also want to see the price decrease of iPad 2 after the launch of iPad 3 too.

We have been waiting and waiting for long time already to see the progress of untethered jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 which was impossible due to hardware problem; however, now Planetbeing has tweeted that Sandbox were solved with help by Saurik (Cydia founder). Sandbox was the main issue in untethered jailbreak A5 idevices so once it is solved, we can expect the release of jailbreak tool soon.
And we’re out of the sandbox with @saurik’s invaluable help! (well, at least there’s a PoC)

Guy, it is not a joke but according to the recent tweet, pod2g has found solution to jailbreak A5 processor devices which mean that jailbreaking iPhone 4S and iPad 2 is possible. On his tweet he even claimed that the tool will be released next week. It is really big improvement after untethered iOS 5.0.1 for A4 processor device.
He even advices iPhone 4S and and iPad 2 user to upgrade to iOS 5.0.1. Can’t wait to grab this tool.

The conflict between Apple and Samsung won’t rest for long. After losing to Samsung over banning Galaxy Tab in Australia, Apple found more patents violations by Samsung. Just as what I said the problem between the two companies are in super-hot temperature so everything will be counted as conflict rather than peace.
However there is no clear information about which patents that Samsung violated that Apple will file the lawsuit. In this case, it might be about the Smart Case of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which is so similar to iPad 2 Smart Cover. But the problem is that the product is not directly produced by Samsung by Anymode.
So even Apple files complaints against this Smart Case, it won’t related to Galaxy Tab 10.1 but Samsung also has many case for its Tab 10.1 that we don’t know which one that Apple would go for.

Guy, not one but two. pod2g has done very great work and finally find solution to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Previously we have reported that pod2g will soon announced to the way to untethered jailbreak iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1. Now taking an advance step to the next level, they found a way to deal with A5 processor which has been the main obstacle for jailbreaking work.
However even with the claim, we are still far from the perfect tool to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2. However thanks to his great work, he kept updating and finding solution to the obstacles. However with the latest update on his blog, the A5 processor cache is not a problem anymore.
