Macotakara, Japanese blog rumors never stingy with lettuce, attracts the spotlight this weekend. Why? Simply because it uses the iPhone 5S + combo infallible low-cost iPhone.
And it says what? The hypothetical low-cost iPhone could be assembled with a polycarbonate shell, but keep the design features of the iPhone 5 today, while being slightly thinner. The home button is still in the game, and Apple would strike a cost that would allow him, after margins, sell the smartphone priced at about $ 330 to the consumer.
And regarding the iPhone 5S, it would build on a larger screen than the current iPhone 5 – or 4.5 “against 4″ – but do not go out in 2013 as some thought, but rather in 2014. Finally, the optical sensor is back with not one, but two LED flash. It is very light stuff, but who knows.
So, on Friday, Apple is introducing a much smaller variant, the iPad Mini, which works exactly like the original and runs all the same apps—the 275,000 tablet-optimized programs plus the rest of the over 700,000 apps available for the iOS operating system the iPad shares with Apple’s iPhone.
The iPad Mini weighs just less than 11 ounces, and is only 0.28 inch thick. That’s 53% lighter and 23% thinner than the standard iPad. It’s 5.3 inches wide versus 7.3 inches for its larger sibling.
It is all about the brand issue now. Let’s take a little break about legal issue of patent infringement. In Mexico, Apple is struggling to sell its devices there since the iPhone is too similar to iFone which is a telecommunications company in region.
iFone or iPhone?
The iFone trademark registered in Mexico in 2003 and the first iPhone hit the market 29th of June 2007. Back in 2009, Apple sued iFone of using this name which is too similar to iPhone but it turned out to be Apple is being sued now. iFone registered this trademark 4 years before iPhone made its appearance in the market.
Now iFone demands 40% of all iPhone sales in Mexico and the court there would not allow Apple to sell iPhone. It strongly will affect the launch of iPhone this weekend. We are waiting to see more improvement of this issue.
If you did miss, some iPhone users have complained about a purple haze on photo or video with iPhone 5’s camera. It appears to be hardware problem and here is the official respond by Apple:
Most small cameras, including those in every generation of iPhone, may exhibit some form of flare at the edge of the frame when capturing an image with out-of-scene light sources. This can happen when a light source is positioned at an angle (usually just outside the field of view) so that it causes a reflection off the surfaces inside the camera module and onto the camera sensor. Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimize or eliminate the effect.
Of course Apple acknowledges the problem but seem like there is no solution at all. The company even claimed that this problem happens with all iPhone but so far we only have heard on iPhone 5.
Now the solution to get rid of the purple haze is to get less expose to bright light.
It has been one year already since Steve Jobs passed away but we have him in our heart. If you visit Apple.com now, you won’t be able to see those iPhone or Mac but a short video about Steve. He is absolutely the icon of the company who has been through every critical decision with satisfactory result. You should not miss this clip. Check it out at Apple now.
The iPhone 5 comes with similar design to the iPhone 4 and 4S but with taller body and thinner. Now we have a video on YouTube to share. The title is The iPhone 5 (Parody) Ad: A Taller Change by Satire. It is a very funny video with 4.4 hits in just one week. Check out the video above to see how the iPhone will change in the future.
Apple has done its best to change to design of iPhone but seems like nothing much change only to be taller and thinner for the iPhone 5. But to bring this change the company needs to use anodized aluminum on the back and edges.
It turns to concern of the users if the new hardware is endurable or not. Now the answer is already on our hand. The test has been made and the result can be seen with the picture above. A guy at Overclockers forum used keys and SIM card tray pin the back and edges of iPhone 5 and the result is extremely scratched. You can think about your day by day usage.
