Flashback Malware Still Infected over 100,000 Mac Users

Flashback Malware on Mac

Although Apple has been mobilized to fight the spread of dangerous malware Flashback, releasing several software updates in order to eliminate from infected systems, the famous company Symantec, the leader in cyber security, detected late yesterday that over 100,000 machines are still plagued by malware that, therefore, has not yet been completely “eradicated.”

Despite this, the number of users affected by this malware is in sharp decline since the last software update released by Apple for the total removal of Flashback. If on Monday the number of infected Mac was about 142,000 units, yesterday’s share has dropped to more than 99,000 units, as reported by Symantec.

Fortunately, after a peak in recent weeks during which more than 600,000 users have faced the threat of Flashback, the spread of malware is greatly reduced, but still a considerable number of users is still infected with this malicious software.

For this reason, if you are a Mac user and have not yet installed the software updates that allow you to remove the threat posed by Flashback, be expeditious to do so, so the malware can not do any harm to any users of the Apple community.
