
Microsoft has cut the price of the Kinect motion-tracker by $40 making it to $109.99 (not $149.99). This new discount price will be available in the U.S. market from now. For further market, the device is expected to be available at the new discount price so far what we have known, the Australia and New Zealand, Kinect is expected to be available on October 5.

According to recent reports and rumors from a number of suppliers in Taiwan, both Microsoft and Intel would be working closely with PC manufacturers in hopes of lowering the market share of iPad to below 50% of world market by the middle of 2013 with the launch of new and innovative tablet that should entice users to abandon the ecosystem in favor of the new Windows 8 instead of iOS.
The source has indicated that Microsoft will release Windows 8 producers for traditional PCs in September, while Windows RT, the new operating system that will equip the ARM-based versions which is expected to be released some time later. According to estimates, a total of 32 tablets equipped with Windows 8 should be launched this year. By the end of 2012, in fact, expected the new products from HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asustek and Toshiba are ready to counter the domination of Apple iPad to date significantly affected.

(Reuters) – Microsoft allegedly tracks the location of its mobile customers even after users request that tracking software be turned off, according to a new lawsuit.
The proposed class action, filed in a Seattle federal court on Wednesday, says Microsoft intentionally designed camera software on the Windows Phone 7 operating system to ignore customer requests that they not be tracked.
A Microsoft representative could not immediately be reached for comment.
The lawsuit comes after concerns surfaced earlier this year that Apple’s iPhones collected location data and stored it for up to a year, even when location software was supposedly turned off. Apple issued a patch to fix the problem.

Nokia tries to recover from the difficult situation prevailing in several months back the attack of the U.S. market has always been a difficult area for the Finnish company. Chris Weber, president of USA Nokia, seems to have a clear strategy for the company to be competitive.
Chris Weber is a former executive of Microsoft, just as the Finnish company’s current CEO Stephen Elop. The time he took office as president of Nokia’s North American dates from February 12 last year, or one day after the announcement of the new market strategy that has brought the Finnish brand to focus on Microsoft’s operating system dedicated to mobile devices that is Windows Phone 7.

The company Apple has signed a major victory since the International Trade Commission has just issued its preliminary ruling on the case between Apple and HTC. According to the U.S., the Taiwanese manufacturer actually violates two patents of Apple on the ten mentioned in the complaint filed by the Cupertino company in March.

It’s a little cash generator for Microsoft, in fact, it is not Microsoft but Android that pays a lot of cashflow to Microsoft. Why and how did they end up in this stage?
