Report: Government sues to block AT&T, T-Mobile merger
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department took the unusual step Wednesday to try to block AT&T’s $39 billion purchase of T-Mobile USA, arguing that the proposed merger would lead to higher wireless prices, less innovation and fewer choices for consumers.
Now AT&T, the nation’s No. 2 wireless carrier, and No. 4 T-Mobile are plotting a legal response to challenge federal regulators.
In its civil antitrust lawsuit, the Justice Department said the merger would stifle competition in the wireless industry. The deal, which is still under review at the Federal Communications Commission, would catapult AT&T past Verizon Wireless to become the nation’s largest wireless carrier, leaving Sprint Nextel as a distant third-place player and certain to struggle.

HTC Holiday Supports LTE with AT&T Carrier
HTC Holiday is one of the latest smartphone which will release soon but seem like there is not much information about this device. To make it more visible, some images leaked recently suggesting the slimming design with touchscreen function just as many other HTC smartphones. The 4.5 touchscreen is large enough to compete with many other phone including the iPhone but one of the most interesting feature is the LTE support.
With the LTE support, this smartphone is one of the first AT&T LTE phones. AT&T has already planned to push out LTE as soon as this Fall.
To make sure that you can enjoy the super fast internet connection, HTC Holiday spotted a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with Sense 3.0 UI. Other interesting features are a 8MP camera with an LED flash, 1.3 front camera, microSD card slot for up to 32GM expansion, and more.
With all of these features, we can assume this similarity to the HTC Sensation but a little larger screen.
Last but not least, some have claimed that the HTC Holiday might be named as HTC Waikiki but the official word remains unknown.
