Recently Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S III will be introduced at Mobile World Congress 2012. This should clear the rumor related to about the Galaxy S III.

“Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product.”

Excellent results from Apple that, in the last quarter of 2011, has sold something like 37 million smartphones in which most of them are the latest iPhone, iPhone 4S.
Although this finding has not been issued directly by the company, it is easy to be convinced by analyzing data. As reported by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), a company specializing in the analysis of turnover, sales of the iPhone 4S in the United States amount to about 89% of units sold.
7% and 4% were the sales of the iPhone 3G and 4 which are so far behind the 4S.
Among the 89% of iPhone 4S buyers chose, 45% prefers the 16GB model, 34% go for the 32GB model and 21% for the 64GB model. Other details emerged from the analysis of turnover is that 19% of iPhone 4s users derived from the previous model which came on the market just over a year earlier. In addition, 42% of the buyers decided to terminate the contract in advance with the current provider while switching to the new iPhone 4S.

At a distance of a couple of weeks since the release of ‘v1600.2483.8106.11500 firmware update for the Nokia 800 Lumia, the Finnish manufacturer announced the results of the tests to evaluate their effectiveness.
Among the main objectives of this firmware update will fix the problem was related to the autonomy of the Nokia Lumia 800 considered by many users do not live up to a multimedia smartphone.

We have seen the high growth of Android since the beginning of 2011 pushing as high around 60% but seems like the number start to decrease to 46.9% when Apple introduces the new mobile phone model iPhone 4S.
The popularity of Android started to decline in Q4 of 2011 from 61.1% to 46.9% which is a very serious decrease meanwhile iOS rose from 25.1% to 44.5% in the same period. This is a very good performance of Apple with the new iPhone 4S which totally prove that iPhone 4S is very popular now.

Ubuntu is one of the most used open-source around the world. According to Canonical, Ubuntu will be able to connect to TVs very soon with Google and Apple TV. According to the new survey, Apple will be able to grab more smartphone user for up to 54%. This is absolutely very big success of the company. This survey was conducted by ChangeWave which is specializing in market analysis. There were over 4,000 customers in North America were involved in the survey.
This is not something strange since the most of iPhone 4S users are so satisfy with the new iPhone and willing to stay with Apple for the next product. With this success, Apple has a very strong stand on the top even with strong competitors.
However one thing that would make Apple worry is the increase of its main rival, Samsung. Samsung will also experience increase from 5% to 13%. Both Samsung and Apple have done many great job that Samsung has Galaxy S II and Galaxy Nexus while iPhone has Siri on its iPhone 4S.
However we are still waiting to see how the two companies compete in 2012.
