Certainly, Apple is doing with the new Mac virus Defender. If the California company has updated its protection tool built into Mac OS X, the authors of viruses are much faster and increase the options to continue to pass through the cracks. The developers would be facilitated by the malware protection system of Apple.
Indeed, it compares the signature of the software with a database stored in a file called XProtect.plist unencrypted. Virus writers have therefore only to consult the file to see if the signature of their software is present. In this case, precise, they only have to change the signature to move smoothly.
