More good news now is on the air. It is about new internet speed which is approximately about 10 times faster than the 3G network. Recently Verizon has just managed to keep its promise by invading to 59 more new cities in U.S. territories. However all of the 59 new cities will be able to get this fast speed by the end of 2011.
If you take a look back at what Verizon has done with its 4G LTE network expansion, there were 39 initial markets launched in December 2010 and 49 markets announced at CES in January. Now there are 59 more to add so in total there are 147 places will be able to experience 4G LTE network by the end of 2011.
Verizon claimed that the new network will provide its users to enjoy the speed up to 10 times faster than their 3G network via their new USB modems from Pantech and LG so it should be 5 to 12 Mbps for downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps for uplink.
Hope to see more expansion soon. You can check the list of 4G LTE network coverage via this link to see if your place is there or not.
