Finally the most concern issues happend, the explosion of nuclear plan in Japan. It is more than tsunami now. The explosion of the nuclear plan caused more trouble that we expected. Thank to the fast evacuation not many people reported hurt after the explosion. Until now there are only four people injured. The evacuation area is about 6 to 12 miles from the explosion.
The earth quake caused the cooling systems to fail which lead the meltdown and leak of radiation. Until now the situation is far worse than expected. The radiation level is 1,000 times above normal in a reactor control room at the plant.
The good news is that right now the situation is not under control but it is reported that radiation level is declined and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is providing technical support and expertise to help Japan handle the radiation problem.
To learn more about the radiation issues, IAEA has its Facebook account for real-time update.
