Zillo is an online real estate which allows users to get more information about each real estate in specific location. Now this online business is at the patent war too just like what we have with mobile phone market. Zillow has been very successful with the business drive about $150 million to the company.
Zillow has a product called “Zestimates” which allows user to see the value of property based on proprietary algorithms. Trulia is another company in the same business market. Recently Zillow found that Trulia and a very similar product called Trulia Estimates to their Zestimates. Zillow has brought this matter to the court already.
Zillo said:
“Trulia’s blatant and ongoing copying of Zillow’s innovative approach to home valuation infringes Zillow’s patent and Zillow is entitled to damages and an injunction against further infringement.”
